We're looking for a Sr. Engineer Manager who will responsible for setting and delivering the strategic and operating objectives of Corporate Engineering to meet corporate short and long term business strategies. 

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with corporate and plant resources in order to leverage continous improvement thinking in support of Supply Chain Excellence.
  • Manage engineering resources to ensure that the Company's facilities maximize their capability to receive, store, process and package National Grape Cooperative's member tonnage through efficient  and effective planning, technical evaluation, and implementation of the capital investment program.
  • Manages the corporation's multi year capital planning process to ensure the most effective use of the company capital assets; prepares corporate capital budget annually; coordinates the capital priority systems; recommends and controls corporate capital cash flow as needed to meet timelines and budget objectives.
  • Leads staff in understanding the Strategic Plan and their role to support justification, planning, and execution of key capital projects identified.
  • Responsible through engineering and plant staff for facilities and equipment design and implementation of technology to assure efficient manufacturing practices.
  • Responsible for hiring and career development of staff, encompassing performance management, identifying growth needs and opportunities to broaden engineering and management skills in building and maintaining an effective organization for both direct and indirect reports.
  • Leads by example in the communication of key engineering programs, support of plant technology solutions and improvements, and upgrades of the Company's business systems while promoting continuous improvement methods in support of Operations Excellence.
  • Ensures that engineering services are provided to the plants, sales and marketing, international, R&D/QA, IT, legal, finance, purchasing, human resources and the National Cooperative office.
  • Responsible for the collaboration and support of projects identified by Grape Technology in the development of long term crop containment needs for the Company to ensure timely and efficient pressing and storage of the crop that meets quality specifications.
  • Supports and teams with local plant management sponsors to implement and utilize asset care management via the use of technology, continuous improvement tools and standard work procedures that are to be used to extend asset life.
  • Responsible for ensuring large scale projects are successfully implemented, including but not limited to new innovation, platform, cost savings, capacity and or other highly visible capital projects.
  • Work with cross functional parties at all levels of the organization including marketing, R&D, Finance, IT and Operations
  • Provide key capital and engineering updates to senior leadership.
  • Provides leadership for the Engineering organization and participates in various stakeholder governance meetings as required.
