Position Overview:

As a Maintenance Technician, the candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and reliability of food and beverage processing equipment, packaging equipment, utility equipment, forklifts, and all other parts of the facility.  This position has the opportunity to advance within the maintenance department based on work performance, reliability and progression.  Weekly assigned shifts are granted on seniority and preference. 

What you'll do:

  • Support processing and utility equipment (steam, boilers systems, compressed air, ammonia refrigeration system, etc), grounds, and/or seasonal equipment as assigned
  • PMs of equipment
  • Install and maintain piping components such as valves, traps, strainers and filters, checks, pressure regulating valves, gauges, and meters.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic & pneumatic instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc.
  • Align and adjust critical equipment such as air compressors, motors, pumps.
  • Follow established GMPs, Food Safety, and Sanitation procedures.
  • Use basic computer functions including MS Office, CMSS systems, Oracle and others.
  • Participate in all regular meetings as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The required skills we're looking for:

  • Demonstrated ability to work safely on and around complex, highly automated machinery in a non-temperature regulated environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Cross-functional skills in some of the key skill areas such as Electrical, PLC, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Motors, and mechanical systems.
  • Proactive and able to work independently
  • Able to work all shifts in a 24/7 operation
  • A history of self-driven continuous improvement.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • A 2-year Degree from a Technical School in the areas of Industrial Electricity, Industrial Maintenance, mechatronics, PLC controls or similar study areas preferred; OR a minimum of 2 years related, applicable experience with electro/mechanical machine maintenance and repair.
