The Talent Development Specialist will design, develop, implement and enhance talent and learning projects, processes and programs across the Welch's organization. This includes in-person, blended and virtual learning experiences in support of building capabilities to accelerate Welch's culture and growth ambition. In addition, the talent development specialist will help to monitor, improve, and enhance overall employee engagement and partner with employees and leaders across the organization to positively impact community and belonging. This is an exciting role that combines building culture, capability and connection across our employee community.


• Assist in identifying needs and sources, designs, and delivers compelling in person, virtual and blended learning and development experiences including but not limited to new employee onboarding, leadership, management, performance management, employee professional development and the implementation of new initiatives.
• Assist with culture development initiatives and fostering a learning culture within the organization in support of Welch's operating principles of How We Work and leadership model - How We Lead (survey design and implementation, program event planning and logistics, marketing and communications).
• Supports Welch's key talent processes such as Talent Review, Performance Management and Recognition.
• Facilitates groups and programs for all level audiences; creates an inclusive and supportive environment.
• Creatively leverages volunteerism and community as part of team building/team meetings
• Coordinates logistics, organizes programs and events, tracks, and reports the delivery of programs.
• Helps to assess external vendors and collaborates with vendors in service of identifying and enhancing programs.
• Evaluates program effectiveness and continuously finds ways to improve the learning and employee experience through delivery techniques, whether in person or virtual.
• Provides reports on status of training completions, effectiveness, and other operational metrics.
• Develops and executes project plans

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a learning and development role including training delivery and facilitation and program/project management; excellent delivery and platform skills.
• Application of instructional design methodology including needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office products and web conferencing software
• Experiences using eLearning development software, vendor management, learning management platforms preferred but not required
• Ability to manage projects, solve problems and work on multiple tasks
• Application of adult learning principles, practices, and approaches in program design
• Ability to deliver learning using technology like Zoom
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Ability to tailor information to a variety of audiences
• Ability to comfortably interact with all levels of employees including frontline team members through executive leadership
• Excellent time management skills (prioritizing and follow-up)
• Ability to cultivate credible relationships with team members throughout the organization
• Experience with personality style inventories such as Myers Briggs, team effectiveness solutions preferred but not required
