Candidates must demonstrate an ability to continue to increase electrician/leadership skills and knowledge during the training period.  The selected candidate must, within the Maintenance Technician Program time constraints, surpass the Mechanic AA level and Electrical Technician requirement as determined by management.  Candidate must be able to demonstrate high level of proficiency in a minimum of three (3) mechanical skill areas, and must be lift truck certified.  The skill areas will be designated by management based upon skill mix requirements of the department. Sufficient training time will be provided for this selected employee. 

 

This candidate will have the highest score on the Electrician Test, Computer Test, and Interview.  The selected Employee's rate will be based on test scores and experience.

 

The candidate must also maintain average proficiency in other mechanical skill areas (outside designated specialty areas) so that he/she may assist in projects and other maintenance work where needed. The candidate may be required to complete mechanical work as a normal part of their job. 

 

The Electrician is expected to work well with little to no direct supervision and be expected to effectively direct the work of others.

 

The Electrician are expected to demonstrate high levels of initiative including but not limited to his/her technical development and the development of others in the department.

 

The Electricians are expected to work well with others including but not limited to supervision, peers, and operators.

 

Electrical Trainee

  • Complete Electrical Support MQM
  • Complete PLC Training
  • Complete the following training:

Stock Room Procedures

Electrical

Blue Print Reading

Arc Flash Training

Lock Out Tag Out

  

Electrical Trainee Advanced

  • Complete Electrical Trainee-Rate Package
  • Complete MODBUS PLUS Training Software Module
  • Demonstrate Electrical Troubleshooting and Repair Skills. (Requires diagnosing process control problems using PLC systems and repair module.)
  • Demonstrate Electrical Troubleshooting and Repair Skills applied to systems not controlled by PLC systems. (Requires diagnosing process control problems at the modular level.)
  • Complete the following Electrician training
  • Fundamental Skills Instrumentation.
  • Understanding of Allen Bradley PLC
  • Understanding of Modicon

 

Electrician

  • Complete Electrical Trainee Advanced Rate Training
  • Complete Electrical Advancement Training (PLC Programming Required.)
  • Demonstrate ability to identify & program the following devices:

                          484 Controllers

                          884 Controllers

                          984 Controllers

                          Micro-84 Controllers

                          085 Controllers

  • Demonstrate ability to identify & program the following devices:

                           TCP MMI stations

                           PANEL_MATE MMI stations

                           MODBUS-PLUS Network devices (Note 2)

                           Flow/Pressure/Temperature Transmitters

                           PLANTWORKS Systems Controls (Note 2)

 

Electrical Technician

  • Complete Electrician Rate Package.
  • At Least two years at Electrician Rate:
  • Be able to Troubleshoot/Repair all Electrical Breakdowns, Programming Logic errors, Network Issues and Servo Failures in an expedient manor without assistance from other Electricians.
  • Be able to communicate, train and assist other Electricians while they troubleshoot in order to maintain Line Efficiencies.
  • Accept and be able to grasp new technologies through self effort.
  • Lead the Department to improve electrical safety.
  • Must Complete and return all Required Paperwork in a timely manor
  • Must Initiate/Plan/Complete improvement projects.
  • Must not be in or enter into Disciplinary Steps.
  • Subject to Re-review in the event Performance Levels drop off

 

 

Electrician Must:

  • Have no current attendance or performance levels of discipline
  • Pass Electrician Test
  • Pass Computer Test
  • Pass Do Nothing Test
  • Be able to troubleshoot/repair all mechanical breakdowns, and rebuilds in an expedient manor without assistance from other mechanics
  • Be able to communicate, train, and assist other mechanics/operators while they troubleshoot in order to maintain line efficiencies
  • Accept and be able to grasp new technologies through self-effort
  • Lead the Department to improve mechanical safety
  • Must Complete and return all required paperwork in a timely manor
  • Must be able to efficiently utilize AMMS system to write, close, actively work to improve the PM schedule in AMMS, and change work orders issued.
  • Must initiate/plan/complete improvement projects with little to no supervision
  • Must not enter into disciplinary steps (attendance or performance)
  • Subject to Re-Review annually or in the event performance levels drop off

 

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

 

Note:  The Company reserves the right to revise skill areas by adding or deleting items (may include entire skill areas) as maintenance requirements demand.  Other duties may be assigned.
